An expiriment in actual honesty for once...

HP
And that's it, isn't it?

(Er... Harry Potter spoilers ahead). It has taken me about a week, but I finally have come to terms with Dumbledore's death. It took me less than twelve hours to finish the book, but it has taken me a week to finally admit that Dumbledore is dead. I was in denial, and I literally mourned his death. He is a character I have truly come to love, and his death left me in worse shape than I could ever imagine. I would never have supposed that a fictional character's death would affect me so. But for so long, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince did not seem like a Harry Potter novel. It is momentously different.

The release of the Half-Blood Prince coincides with major changes in my life. I have had to switch schools, switch homes, and basically switch lives. With Dumbledore dying, I did not feel I could hold the depression back. But I guess now, I understand. It was silly not to realize befoer that changes will happen, no matter how much you want things to stay the same. That doesn't mean you will like the changes any better, but you will cope. Harry will too. :)

Thank you Jo Rowling,

Your writings have influenced my life more than any others, and that is simple truth.

-----------
This was previously a secret entry, from a few days back. Brought to you by Quaker Oats, and a new gutsy feeling in my stomach that was bored. You may (or may not) have noticed that I switched around the old journal-roo, (maybe to reflect how switched up everything else in my life has been, eh? Eh? Fuck you, Freud!) and generally I like the new look. But to be perfectly honest, I doubt it will last.

So.... here is some decent information in an update for once: Official moving date is still August 14th, though there is a very strong chance I will be outta here before then. Mmmm, Gary gets The House again soon. I'm quite enjoying my philosophy class, which I was sure I would despise. Fancy that. Looks like UIC is a no go, so I'm frantically trying to re-transfer over to Loyola (who promises to help me). My room is pretty barren and naked, and I've let my obsession with Harry Potter reach a peak, probably because I could do with some magical espcaping myself. So that's the deal. Anybody going to throw me a going away party? Well don't, I hate those things. And I'm only going up to Rosemont anyway (that would be right by O'Hare airport, you geography geniuses). Seacrest out.
